Info on strength training.
Will start up weight lifting at my place right after the National Cup Tournament. Should be Thursday the 18th. No lifting on the 22nd. If we have a small group we can lift at the garage. I will be going 9-10:30 Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri. There will ab a couple Fridays we skip due to tournaments and a couple days starting at 9:30 due to soccer camps.
If we have a large group we can rent space/time at an olympic style weightlifting gym I know but it gets costly. We might be able to go two groups if I can manage the time.
Please send a note to let me know who is a definite and who is just interested but not sure. Setting up working groups is very useful. Basic plan is:
Monday – heavy squat / deadlift and abs
Tuesday – heavy upper body
Thursday – Speed squat & abs
Friday – upper body speed & conditioning
It still works if you miss a day as each session is a separate system but it is important to be on time so whomever is lifting that day lifts with his group. Bring shorts, flat soled shows and a notebook.
