The following weekend I am taking my U16 Boys to State Cup; March 20-21st. Following that weekend I am going to be holding U15 Boys Specific Kick-Arounds. I am still working on the dates and time, so an email to follow.

First things first, I need to hear back from each of the players confirming your commitment to the team. I have already heard from the majority of you but I need and email or a phone call commitment confirmation with in the next 24 hours. Please let me know at that time if you are interested in spring league as well.

Once you have notified me of your commitment the next steps is to complete your registration with the club and to send me all your contact information. I would like to setup a parent meeting, in the next few weeks so we can all discuss the details of the season and create our team goals. As I mentioned the goal of the game is to win so it is not necessary that we always focus on winning. As a team we need to focus on becoming all around better players, with our feet, off the ball and even off the field.

The San Ramon Board and Director of Soccer will be presenting the Club Master Plan for the first half of the meeting.

Then we will be breaking off into our team to discuss our game plan for the season. Pre-Season Training, Tournaments, Uniforms, Volunteers, etc

I would like to invite all the U15 boys to come kick the ball around for the next few weeks. My goal is to have majority of the team situated before the official San Ramon tryouts in April.

Feel free to invite any friends that you will would be a good fit for the team. I am looking to put together a solid competitive team that wants to have fun and play hard.

In a tight 2-1 game at Amador Valley, with about 7 minutes left, Cal’s Guillermo Rivas receives a pass 30 yards out, splits the defense and finishes with his left foot. I also coached Mr. Rivas and taught him everything that he knows.

The Cal High Varsity Program will be hosting the traditional Winter Soccer Classic Tournament starting next Monday – 11/30 and running through the week. This tournament consists of some of the finest Bay Area High School soccer teams and has always brought great pride to the entire Cal High Soccer program. The tournament also is a way for us to raise money for our soccer teams, as there is a paid admission required to attend each game, and we will be in need of your support to help man the entrance gate and collect monies for these games. I have attached a ” Volunteer Sign-up” spreadsheet and am asking for your help and support for the 10 games that will take place during the Tournament week. We can only raise money for the program if we have parents at the gates to collect. I am also copying JV familes and asking you to consider helping out on the games which our Grizzly Varsity team will be playing in. After all, wouldn’t it be nice
if the Varsity parents could watch thier son’s game?? Please email me back with your preferred game.
